Covid 19 Guidelines

COVID SAFETY PLAN FOR PIONEER QUIX STIX LACROSSE

Please adhere to the following guidelines for the 2021 Quix Stix season.  Thank you for doing your part to help keep our community safe this spring.

Health Checks – A Health Check questionnaire is to be completed via TeamSnap for all players and coaches within 2 hours of each practice and game.  Similar to a health check completed prior to arriving at school, the Health Check includes questions regarding symptom screening and Covid exposure.  If you feel sick in any way or have any cold symptoms at all, please do not attend practices or games.

Hand Hygiene – Players should arrive at practices and games with hands that have been thoroughly washed with soap and water.  Hand sanitizer will be provided for players to use before and after practices and games.

Socially Distance – Players should remain socially distant from each other when not playing and be masked.  Coaches will encourage distance between players on the sidelines and during drills.  Coaches will limit the amount of close contact with athletes during practices and games, outside of play, and will wear a mask at all times.

Physical Contact – Players, coaches, and parents should refrain from handshakes, high-fives, or other greetings or celebrations using physical contact.

Face Masks – Face masks are required for coaches, players, and parents during practices and games. The Pennsylvania Department of Health has mandated that face masks be worn indoors and outdoors away from home when unable to maintain sustained physical distance.  Face masks must completely cover your nose and mouth.  Please adhere to the CDC Guide to Masks when selecting a mask.

Equipment – Players will not share equipment or water bottles.  Players are to be properly equipped with water bottle, eye gear, mouth guard, mask, and lacrosse stick.  Gear is to be labeled with players’ name.  Goalie equipment will be sanitized by coaches after each practice and game.

Arrival/Departure – Players should arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start of their practice or game arrival time to limit the number of people at a given location.  Players should not congregate with other players before or after events.

Spectators – We would prefer each player to have only 1 spectator on the sidelines for games.  Spectators at practices are discouraged.  Please adhere to social distancing guidelines while on the sidelines.  Masks are to be worn at all times by spectators.

Indoor Clinics – While practicing indoors at Main Line Sports Center, parents can walk their children into the building and escort their child to the field.  To limit the number of people in the facility, we encourage parents to leave during clinics and return to pick up at the end of the session.  Masks are to be worn at Main Line Sports Center at all times.

Positive Cases – If a player, coach, or parent tests positive for COVID-19, that person will be required to quarantine for the required amount of time per the Chester County Department of Health before returning to practices and games. Anyone directly exposed to the person who tested positive may not return to events until they can confirm a negative test result 5-7 days after exposure, or quarantine for the required amount of time per the Chester County Department of Health.

Contact Tracing – Quix Stix will alert all players, coaches, parents, and officials who come into contact with a person who tested positive, while maintaining the individual’s privacy.

Throughout the season we will continue to monitor local, state, and national guidelines and make changes to our COVID-19 Plan as more information becomes available.
